When the extracellular crystal level is high enough causing the immune system to response to start a gout attack The extracellular urate level may be high, and the blood level could be normal or high. 3. We need to do life long treatment and continually monitor the Urate Level ( ULT) because we want to lower the destructive metabolic effects of hyperuricemia to our body, not just the joints. 4. Ideal serum uric acid level is not well defined between 4 mg/dl to 6 mg/dl. The Academy of Rheumatology has clear ULT guidelines (2020)

Merci docteur ,et il y a d'autres effets secondaires a la prise d'Allopurinol comme des phases de tachycardie et l'apparition de la cataracte de manière soudaine (pour mon cas en deux jours sur un oeil ) à l'arrêt de l'allopurinol j'ai constaté la diminution de 80% de mes phases de tachycardie quasi immédiate , pour la cataracte c'est malheureusement irrémédiable et j'attend l'opération . Ce médicament comme beaucoup présente des risques secondaire qui annule les effets positifs . Je prenais 200mg par jour et mon taux de créatine était tombé effectivement de moitié (environ 105 mg/l > 55 ) mais je pense qu'avec une bonne hygiène de vie ce type de médicament devrait être inutile car pour moi j'ai de l'acide urique congénitale je ne bois pas . Took a full 1 cc each week for 90 weeks. That's twice the dose and time recommended. I think I cleared it who knows. This was 21 years ago. I do now take synthroid 50 but at least I'm living. It's been a tough ride.
